Registration still open!

You may still register for the conference. However, your submitted abstract will not be included in the abstract book. Therefore, we hope you will appreciate the new offer this year of a conference CD where abstracts from both late and early registered participants, will be included!

Emmet Mc Cormack

Recently, in September 2009, the Irish post-doc Emmet Mc Cormack received a 16 mill NOK grant from Bergen Forskningsstiftelse (BFS) for his development, implementation and excellent research on multi-modality in vivo imaging of Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) in mice. By using his optical technology they are now able to follow the development of cancer and also see the effect of treatment, such as chemotherapy and combined therapies for AML, in a much easier and more efficient way. See this short documentory about his research.

Young and talented

The Norwegian research council decided in 2003 to grant young excellent scientists (YFF) in all fields of research, so provide them with a good framework for their research. This financing is meant to stimulate young researchers to stay in science, and to achieve high-quality science at international standards. At the NBS Contact Meeting 2010 you will meet three YFFs - and their excellent science!
